Smokey Quartz

Smokey Quartz is a silicon dioxide crystal; it is a variety of Quartz. Its colour depending on the amount of free silicone deposits in it varies from the least grey to the most brown or even almost black. It can be completely translucent or opaque. Its colour comes from natural irradiation.

Smokey Quartz is found in Australia, Madagascar, Brazil and USA. Clear Quartz can be artificially made into Smokey Quartz by treating it with radium or by x-raying it.

 

 Smokey Quartz has an extremely earthy feel which makes it a premier grounding crystal. It grounds the excess energy that we carry within our body within our aura and within our environment.
