Labradorite gets its name from the Labrador peninsular in Canada; this is where it was first found. Its colouring ranges between grey-green, pale green, blue or in some stones colourless. Labradorite is known for its amazing variety of flash colours; blue, red, green, peach, pink, rainbow, yellow, orange and gold. These flashes are from the light interference in the minerals of the stone.
