Amazonite

Amazonite is a potassium aluminium silicate which is an Alkali Feldspar mineral. It is predominately green and green/blue. Its name comes from the Amazon River in Brazil where there are rich deposits. However, it is also found in India, Madagascar, Namibia and Russia.

Amazonite jewellery has been used for thousands of years. There was an Amazonite scarab ring among King Tutankhamen’s treasures. The seventh chapter of the Egyptian Book of the Dead was engraved on Amazonite. It is also believed to be the third stone on ‘Moses’ breastplate.

Amazonite is the stone of peace, truth and harmony. Amazonite helps you to find your own inner peace. It assists you to express your own truth by putting your intentions into words to be spoken out loud.
